Stay in the loop

Are you interested in finding a place to show your work in Berlin? Or join our community within ROOTED? Sign up for updates here!

ROOTED is our internal program for workshops, webinars and festivals.

This educational outreach program is designed to bridge the gap between international artists and Berlin's local vibrant Arts’ scene, empowering creatives to navigate critical challenges in a foreign landscape while meeting the diverse needs of our local community.

Ever think about taking a workshop to assist with recovery after an injury? or learn more about neuromuscular disorders with professional body practitioners? Maybe you've been thinking about applying for funding and need some expert budget advice or copywriting assistance? Or you're thinking about entering and staying in the German scene, have some new work you want to present in an approachable festival setting? Whatever it may be, we've designed a diverse collection of workshops to suit you, because we don't believe in gatekeeping.

What's coming

Festival Series Workshops

July 19th 2024

Saligari, Berlin

This Summer we are trying out our new festival concept as a mini series. Over two weekends we will offer workshops, networking events, performances and talk backs. The festival begins on July 19th with a full day of workshops, lunch and afterwards a cocktail, or two to celebrate the opening night! Cofounders of Apricot Productions Nadine Freisleben and Angela Fegers will give two workshops in one day- one on integrating into the German system- for good, and the next on the art of budgeting and production- navigating the challenging landscapes within the German funding scene while producing your own work.

Learn visa hacks, KSK application tips to start your retirement in Germany as a freelance artist, production tips, budget standards and more!

Festival Series Performances

July 27th & 28th 2024

AckerStadtPalast, Berlin

On the following weekend, we meet again for performances by Berlin based and visiting guest artists: Pau Aran, Dominique McDougal and Pamela Pietro. Three performers, three generations- three different stages of life.  After the performance on the 27th there will be a talk back hosted by Apricot. Participation in the full day of workshops gives you one free ticket to the performance weekend.

With gracious support from Pamela Pietro, New York University Tisch and Acker Stadt Palast.
